Ancillary Services

As part of our commitment to provide the best pediatric care, we offer a wide range of additional tests. These tests, available to all patients, are part of our comprehensive pediatric care. They include:
  • Vision Screens
PediaVision's® automated vision assessment is designed to accommodate children of all ages, starting as early as six (6) months. PediaVision tests for the following in one simple 10 second test:

    1. Astigmatism: irregularly shaped corneas or lenses

    2. Myopia: nearsightedness

    3. Hyperopia: farsightedness

    4. Anisometropia: differences between the two eyes

    5. Strabismus: misalignment of the eyes

    6. Amblyopia: lazy eye

    7. Anisocoria: pupil size anomalies.

The PediaVision Screening is not covered by all insurances. There is a $25 fee for testing. Please speak to your doctor to inquire and visit their website for more information: www.pediavision.com.

  • Hearing Screens or otoacoustic emissions test (OAE)
Test that measures sound waves produced in the inner ear. A tiny probe is placed just inside the ear canal, which then measures the response when clicks or tones are played into a child's ear.

  • In-house labs
These labs include urine testing, blood testing and cultures. For our patient's convenience, we've partnered with Quest Diagnostics, BioDiagnostic Labs and BioReference Labs to provide more comprehensive testing. Specimen collection is done at our facility, shipped to the lab, and results are sent back to our office. This service eliminates the need to go to a testing center.

  • Spirometry
(Meaning the measuring of breath) is the most common of the Pulmonary Function Tests, measuring lung function, specifically the measurement of the amount (volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be inhaled and exhaled. Spirometry is an important tool used in assessing conditions such as asthma.
